Chess in Schools (CIS) programs impact students by helping teachers use chess in the classroom as an educational tool. Teacher-driven and classroom oriented, CIS provides field-tested resources and ongoing support to help schools create chess in education programs that promote academic and 21st Century skills.
- Courses – Professional development courses and certification for administrators and teachers on the topic of chess in education.
- Chess in Education (CIE) Initiative – For schools and school systems wishing to implement a best practice CIE program and become self-sufficient within three years. Modeled after the ACIS and European Chess Union CIE training programs.
- ACIS – our original flagship program for the state of Alabama and local education agencies wishing to implement chess programs across multiple schools.
